Part 2:5 | Devoted to the Word | Gospel Community

May 1, 2026    Andy Munao III

In this lesson, we continue Part 2 of Formed by the Gospel: Gospel Formed Community by looking at what it means for the church to be devoted to God’s Word. In Acts 2, the early church did not simply believe the gospel individually; they devoted themselves together to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.

This lesson reminds us that communities do not just gather people; they form people. For the church, God’s Word is what keeps the gospel at the center, guards us from making secondary things primary, and strengthens us as one body. When we devote ourselves to Scripture together, we are held fast by the truth that gives us life and shaped into the community God designed us to be.
