FAQ's: Community Groups at Trinity

At Trinity, we believe spiritual growth happens best when we gather together—around tables, in living rooms, classrooms, and gatherings where people share life centered on Jesus. Whether it’s in a small group, a Sunday school class, bible study, large groups, a men’s or women’s gatherings, or a short-term study, each one exists to help us encourage faith in everyday life, and live out the gospel as one family. We want everyone at Trinity in a Community Group – check out the links below to get involved!
1. What are Gospel Community Groups?
Community Groups are where discipleship happens in real time. These are small, to mid-sized, to large gatherings of adults who meet regularly to grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and live out what it means to believe in Jesus, love like Jesus, and serve with Jesus.
2. What kinds of groups are offered?
We offer a variety of groups: men’s and women’s Bible studies, mixed small groups, large-group gatherings, adult Sunday classes, and seasonal classes. Each one looks a little different, but all exist to help you connect relationally and grow spiritually. The mode of meeting is not the focus, but the heartbeat of Gospel centered community is.
3. How often do groups meet?
Most groups follow our Gospel Community calendar, which runs on three 14-week semesters (Winter, Summer, and Fall) with short breaks in between. Each group is unique in their frequency of meeting. They span from weekly to monthly.
4. How do I find a group?
You can browse all open groups using our Group Finder or fill out the "Join a group" form. In the finder you can search by type, day of the week, or life stage to find a group that fits your schedule and season of life.
5. What if I’m new to Trinity or not sure where to start?
Start simple, check out the Group Finder or contact associate Pastor Andy to plug in. We’ll help you find the right fit based on your availability, interests, and spiritual journey. No prior experience or Bible knowledge required.
6. Can I join a group mid-semester?
Yes! While the best time to join is during a semester kickoff (January, May, or September), most groups welcome new members anytime!
7. Do groups provide childcare?
Some do, and others meet in homes or locations where kids are welcome. Each group listing on the Group Finder includes details about childcare and location.
8. How can I lead a group?
We love raising up new leaders! If you sense a call to lead or host a group, we’ll equip you through training and resources that make leading simple and sustainable. You can fill out the Group Leader Interest Form to start that conversation.
9. What do groups study?
Most groups use Bible-based curriculum, or go directly through books of the Bible, topical studies/videos or group created content & discussion guides created by our Associate Pastor Andy.
10. Why does Trinity emphasize Gospel Community so much?
Because life change happens best in community. Sunday worship gathers us; groups grow us. Gospel Community is where truth meets relationship and discipleship becomes a shared journey - no matter the type or mode of gathering.

2026 Calendar & Important Dates

Our Gospel Community Calendar is built around three intentional semesters—Winter, Summer, and Fall—each lasting 14 weeks with short breaks in between. This rhythm gives every group at Trinity a clear start, a healthy pace, and space to rest before the next season begins. Whether you’re part of a small group, Bible study, or large gathering, this calendar keeps everyone moving together in the same discipleship rhythm. Mark your calendar for Kickoff Weeks: Winter – January 11–17, Summer – May 10–16, and Fall – September 13–19. Between semesters, you’ll find breaks designed for rest, reflection, and re-connection before the next season of Gospel community begins.

Group Finder Page

Our Group Finder is the hub for every gathering that helps you grow in faith and connection at Trinity—whether that’s a men’s or women’s Bible study, a semester-based small group, or one of our larger community gatherings. Each group has its own rhythm, but they all share one purpose: helping you believe in Jesus, love like Jesus, and serve with Jesus alongside others. Use the finder below to explore open groups, study options, and seasonal gatherings, and take your next step into Gospel-shaped community.
