There are 110 million college students throughout the world-about 1% of the earth's population. This "Powerful Percent" will produce the world's most influential leaders. The leadership of nearly every sphere of society comes from the campus. Whether it's the media, government, business, or the Church, today's college students will lead the world tomorrow.
Typically, it is during the college years that students decide what they will for, and for whom they will live. This generation of students is waiting to hear a clear, compassionate and culturally relevant presentation of the gospel.
This is why we desire to spend the best hours of our day reaching college students through Campus Crusade for Christ. Campus Crusade is an interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. Started in 1951, on the campus of UCLA, the ministry now has movements on more than 1200 campuses in the United States.
Larry gives direction to evangelism on a national level and helps each Campus Crusade movement to become more effective in evangelism. Larry also authored the book, "The 250: Creative ideas for evangelism." This book contains over 250 cutting-edge ideas compiled from over 170 Campus Crusade movements. Larry is currently working on projects with Hollywood to help discover ways of drawing students closer to Christ using film and media.
Amanda is a distance coach for campuses in the Southeast Region of the United States. Her role is to come alongside those schools that don't have full-time staff members to give direction to the ministry. She coaches and disciples students who have a heart to reach their campus for Christ. Amanda also leads a women's Bible study at the University of Central Florida.
